A record 310 students from tribal and scheduled caste communities will fly abroad this year to pursue their higher education, thanks to a new scholarship program from the SC/ST development department. The program, called Unnathi, provides financial assistance to students from these communities who want to study abroad.
The program is designed brilliantly to assist the students to secure their admission into a renowned university, offering expert counseling services, legal assistance and other essential study abroad requirements like health insurance and referring only to trusted consultants to ensure a smooth application process.
The SC, ST Development Department has partnered with ODEPC (Overseas Development and Employment Promotion Consultants), a state government undertaking, to provide a safe, secure, and comfortable study experience for students from tribal and scheduled caste communities who are studying abroad.
ODEPC will provide students with all the necessary help and guidance they need, including visa assistance, admissions counseling, legal aid, and health insurance. They will also work with the students to ensure that they are comfortable in their new surroundings and that they are able to adjust to their new life in another country.
